A Dreamer's Realm

It is hard to tell the difference between the Real World and Dreams. Whenever we think we might be dreaming, pain seems to come and reminds us that we are fully in the midst of the Real. A long time ago, when the Dream World tried to overpower the Real, it was stopped by seven Sigils (guardians) and chaos was created in the process. Today, Connor Hayden - bar tender, band member, and exiled musical angel - will be chosen to stop the Dream World's newest attempts on destroying everything the Real World has created, and with the aid of Danka (the angel of vice), Ion (the time keeper), Aramis (one the God of destruction), and a mysterious girl named Samantha, he will try to stop the Dream... and keep his mind as sane as possible in the process.

Abashed I Stood

"Knowledge is power, David, we must guard it well. ... [Solomon] was not simply collecting the books for their monetary value ... he was collecting them for their inhumanly massive social and intellectual power. Solomon feared these books. He feared what people, reading them, might do." David is born to two mothers in two different worlds. His first mother exists only in the world of myth and history, a barely remembered figure cursed by God. David inhabits this other world in his dreams. Between his dreams and the surreal empire which Solomon, his guardian, is building for him, David struggles to break his myth-mother's curse.

Giddeon's War

Giddeon's War
Tales of Avian Book Two
By: Craig Grant

Giddeon's War takes fantasy to where Watership down meets Jonathan Livingston Seagull and beyond. There are no humans or any of the usual fantasy chacters such as dwarfs or goblins found in this book which makes it quite unique.
The main charcter is this story, Giddeon, appears in the last part of Book One as a student in the Flying School. This book has strong narrative drive and builds to a stunning conclusion.

An old Darkness returns and the weasely Wuzals grow in power. Led by Bale, a black mage, the Island of Verosa falls to the Wuzals. If they take the Island of Cercon next, they can reach the mainland and threaten all of Avian. This would be a disaster for Birdkind.
The Council of Eagles is divided and no longer acts as the Defender of the Realm. They refuse to take action when asked for help, so the Dodon Alliance faces the Wuzals alone.
When Giddeon, the young Dodon Mentat, returns from the Flying School he must successfully mastermind the defense of Cercon against the greatest Wuzal invasion Avian has ever seen, or Birdkind will face a dark future.

I Danced With Heaven

Sadie Bell believes that love is the single most limited thing in the world. And for a young girl whose passionate distain for limits includes many things, including the ocean and age, placing love at the top spot is definitely making a statement. But when Sadie is spurred into a sudden thirst for adventure and exploration of the world around her, she soon discovers that sometimes things don't go quite as planned. Sometimes, you might stumble upon a mystical seaside clearing that has a strangely supernatural atmosphere. Sometimes, you might happen upon a mysterious boy with strange marks on his shoulderblades in this clearing. And sometimes you will discover that the thing you've been running away from your whole life...is perhaps the biggest adventure of all.

Lazuli

It was the scratching that woke him. Not knocking, as one could expect so late at night if the horses had got out or the dog had been chasing a neighbour's sheep, but a light scraping tap that shivered down his spine. A shadow passed by the entrance to the room and melted swiftly into the black of the door. He heard the scrape of the bolt as it was drawn back slowly and carefully in answer to the persistent tap, then lowered voices, urgent hisses, the words smothered in the night. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Fourteen years ago, the ruling disnerenti of Ibnaket were assassinated, their murderer styling himself leader in their place. In a time when any threat to the rule is crushed, Avalin and his father find themselves fleeing their remote village, fearing for their lives.
Elsewhere, Rena is fighting to keep her sanity as strange things inexplicably happen to her, disturbing her previously normal life.

Legend of the Dark Dragon - Guardian of Souls

Legend of the Dark Dragon: Guardian of Souls pulls the reader into the book almost immediately during the opening dream sequence, and the fast moving battles that immediately follow. The characters are diverse in many ways and whether good or bad, or somewhere in the hazy line between, the reader feels very passionate about them. Whether that strong emotion is love, hate, or even fear, the reactions are just as strong. The story follows several characters, and several time lines, but the objective of peace is one any reader will identify with, though the price of peace in this war-stricken land is one that only the truly brave and noble are willing to pay.

Perfection

Conventional rehabilitation had failed and was long abandoned. A new system had been implicated to ensure societies slow, generational convalescence.
Nothing is as it seems in this unflinching glimpse at an unforgiving future. David Lounsbury explores the human factor absent from most modern science fiction.

Primordial

Primordial is a dark urban fantasy, intelligent pulp loaded with vampires who drain energy, not blood. Think of Blade and Underworld in print, combined with the psycho-social ideas of Chuck Palahniuk's Fight Club, or of a Frank Miller graphic novel with no graphics. But Primordial is more than violent pablum. It journeys deeper, crashing almost continuously through layers of philosophical themes.

Prophecy's Tool

Prophecy's Tool
Tales of Avian Book One
by: Craig Grant

This book takes fantasy in a new direction, where Watership Down meets Jonathan Livingston Seagull, on the border of Fantasy and Science Fiction. There are no humans or fantasy charcters such as elves or goblins in this book, which is a strength and a weakness.
Comments from my readers indicate that it is suitable for a wide range of readers and it has been compared favourably with Harry Potter and the books of David Eddings.

Avian is a Realm in the Entirety where intelligent birds are the dominant life form. It is a natural world, with wild places and birds with character. Some have special powers. Technology is limited but there is rune magic and the the Glarkin, who has been meddling in Avian affairs for a very long time.
It is The Time of Tumult and Birdkind faces a dark future as the Darklings sweep across the Entirety, for Birdkind is divided and the Windwarriors are no more. However Elwin the Eagle, who is the Tool of Prophecy has the ability to change Birdkind's dark future if he lives long enough. For Elwin is an Amari half-breed, who must fight to survive in a Darien Keep, as he grows in power.

REVELATIONS

Rain, a young half vampire, knows of only one truth in her existance - her love for her Master and guardian, Frost. The story begins with her waking amidst the fighting in Warsaw during World War II. Her Master, in a bid to keep her safe, decides to take her away from the city but in the midst of their escape they are discovered by a group of SS soldiers. To her horror, Rain's Master sacrifices himself in order to keep her safe and allows himself to be willingly kidnapped. Rain barely manages to escape, but as she eludes the Nazi guards, she swears on her life to find Frost at all costs. Her journey becomes intwined with the history of another man named Magnus Celer and the truth behind her Master's kidnapping and her destiny become apparent as the novel's plot endlessly twists and turns. Rain faces the greatest challenge of her life and the fate of all humanity becomes hung in the balance. The novel itself is an interesting read, even for those who do not usually read this style of fiction. Its plot and storyline are woven together with such beautiful dark imagery that it makes it hard for the reader to even put down. .

Silence

Have you heard of the tale of the end of the Age of Violence? A time when humanity stood on the brink of utter extinction by its own doing?
Then come, listen, hear of an Age of savage heroes, and of treacherous villains. A time when demons walked the earth and the empires of men crumbled beneath the blood soaked sky, of an Age torn asunder by the majestic terror of the mushroom clouds. A time when noble monsters were born from polluted ashes while much worse came to rule the world. Let me tell you of the quest of the seven, seven survivors, judges, and executioners. Let me tell you of their many paths, all coming together in the end.
Let me tell you of the salvation of the world.
Let me tell you of the Reckoners.
The year was 2052.

Souled

For years, ever since the Great War consumed their former lives, seventeen-year-old Jonathan and his ragtag band of children have been on the run-stalked by the deranged, charismatic Colonel Verrater, whose mission is to conscript young fighters to send to the Front. As the story opens the band of orphans and draft resisters have been cornered in an unused mine. But fate intervenes when they stumble upon a cache of ancient weapons with demonic powers, relics from a technological culture far beyond any they have known: the Souled. Perhaps the most remarkable of the relics is an airship they dub the Celestial Whale. Now the children have a chance to take control of their own destinies. But to do so, they will have to grapple with the scars of war; the ever-vigilant Colonel; and the soul-consuming properties of their newfound weapons. They must discover the secret of the Souled before they perish . . . or worse. Listen to Richard talk about his writing and his book here http://bookhabit.com/newsdetail.php?nid=27

The Cottonwood Grove

Imagine finding a mystical grove of cottonwoods, surrounding a deep and foreboding pond. Dive deep into the waters and find a pouch which holds a tangled mass of leather string into which are tied dozens of tiny objects; and when you begin to unwind the string, the world around you changes.

The string is the shaman's stylea-a life ball, used to record the events of a person's life. This lifeball belonged to Raven, and the two boys who found it - Joel and David - by unwinding it in the sacred grove of trees have suddenly found themselves transported to the time of the People, the natives who long ago inhabited the place we now call Washington State.

Linked together by a shared dream, the two brothers and the must find the courage and resourcefulness to find their lost father and reclaim him from Coyote. Their only clues are the small totems tied into Raven's stylea, each of which represents an important event; but now, in Raven's rediscovered ball, there are 8 new items. These become the map for the adventure. This fantasy is a parable about brothers and how they learn to love and trust each other. It is filled with Native mythology and all its creatures, from the Coyote to the Sasquatch.

Tropomorphoses

Two thousand years ago, the Roman Ovid wrote about people turning into animals and plants. Those were simple times! Imagine animals, plants, fungus, and rock turning into human form now! The confusion, the complexity, the anguish. And, what do they want? Peace and quiet, to tell their story, world conquest? Only by reading these transformations can you find out ...
