The work is based on actual historical events and will feature an African-American's personal saga which will include the Alaska Gold Rush, the rise of the waterfront labor unions on the West Coast, the San Francisco Earthquake and ending with the Preparedness Day Bombing in 1916. |

| Interesting. I would have preferred the information flow from the action, rather than be presented in advance by the protagonist. But, it does present a perspective many of us are unfamiliar with. |

| Well done. The author does an amazing job of placing the reader in a position to understand the challenges African Americans faced during the 1890s- all through Noah's eyes. Brilliantly written in first person. If the first chapter is an indication of the rest of the book its destined to be a classic. |
