The story is very interesting, full of twists and turns that are not obvious. It draws the reader to keep going. The store is full of interesting characters, places, action,... all well combined.
If I can find any faults it is that the main characters are children. While often they had emotions and actions of children, other times they clearly behaved and used rational thinking like adults. At key points when a tough decision was being made it was hard to keep thinking of them as children. I would have preferred more mature characters or perhaps a mix that allows for decision making to fall on older people.
That being said the story is excellent and I would be happy to read sequels. |

Thanks to everyone who has left a comment thus far, believe me they are very informative. I'd like to ask anyone who has read the first chapter or more to leave a comment. It tells me what I'm doing right, and what I'm doing wrong and it helps me at the same time.
Thank you for your patronage everyone,
Richard Errington |

Souled jumps right into the action. From the first sentence on, things are happening at a rapid clip that barely gives one time to breath, much less relax. In fact, it can be somewhat difficult to take it all in at first, but the characters are quick to endear themselves. I've already purchased the book and eagerly anticipate the development both of this world and its characters.

Well, I read the book through the night and I was impressed. The characters are very lifelike and their struggle is amazing. I was really pulled into this novel and its world. When is the next book coming out? I want more!

A fast paced chapter that made me want to read more. I felt like I was getting thrown into the action from the first moment and it didn't let go. Great job!

Fantastic start to what seems to be a very exciting and thriller. Not my usual sort of reading but really need to find out what happens to the group and what the future holds for them. Looking forward to reading the whole story I will definately down load it.

Great reading for those looking for an exciting and unusual thriller. Lots of twists and turns already. Can't wait to read the rest of the book to find out what the future holds for the remaining children. The author has great imagination.

This is not my usual genre, at least lately, but what a compelling story - kudos to this new aspiring author - I feel sure he is meant for a wide audience - the story is very imaginative but feels realistic as well - very glad, relieved actually, that I will have the opportunity to download the book and find out what happens next!

Souled reads like a classic with a modern twist. With the same impetus of the Divine Comedy, and the epic scope of Tolkien, Souled engulfs the reader in a world of believable fantasy (no matter how oxymoronic that may sound). This is not your everyday fiction - it is a seemingly effortless yarn, but continues to rock all the way through. As a big fan of the genre, i must say that i am excited to see how far this writer's career will go.

An exciting start with a cast of young heroes desperately trying to escape from a real bad dude. Looks as though as they are going to be a lot of twists and turns to come. The odds looks stacked against them-but I suspect the writer has something up his sleeve...

If first chapter is any indication on the quality of the rest of the book, he might have a best seller on his hands. I'm definitely going to check out the rest.

Quick, well paced anti-war fantasy! Great characters, intense plot, draws you into the story. Colonel Verrater is a truly evil and you love to hate him from the first. You can only hope that the young heroes will find the power to defeat the old war mongers.

After reading the first chapter there's no denying that this book is a fast paced thriller. The author does a great job drawing the reader into the conflict and realities of war. There is not a dull moment- it is all on-the-edge-of-your-seat excitement. With a first chapter like this you can't go wrong downloading the entire book.
